Philadelphia couldn't have asked for a much better start. The Eagles jumped out to a 10-0 lead against Washington, only to watch their advantage disappear as the Commanders rattled off 27 unanswered points.

That's the kind of collapse that should leave Eagles fans asking some uncomfortable questions.

Washington deserves credit for recovering from its early mistakes and taking control of the game. But Philadelphia's response was downright disappointing. Once things started going wrong, the Eagles seemed to have no answers. Worse still, nothing meaningful changed as the game slipped away.

Tanner McKee was sacked five times, and Philadelphia failed to score a single point after halftime. That's a miserable combination. You can debate the quarterback's performance all you want, but expecting a backup to produce consistently while taking that kind of punishment is asking for trouble.

I'd start with the offensive line and protection schemes before putting the entire burden on McKee. Give the quarterback enough time to make decisions, create some manageable situations and get the offense moving again.

The bigger concern is how quickly Philadelphia lost control. A team with championship ambitions shouldn't fall apart like that after building an early lead.

Was this collapse more about Tanner McKee's limitations, or does the offensive line deserve the bulk of the blame?
