Which sport has the best postseason format?

Single elimination produces urgency, long series usually identify the stronger team, and aggregate formats reward consistency across venues. Every system sacrifices something. Football's bracket makes each game monumental; baseball and hockey allow tactical stories to evolve; basketball reduces randomness but can stretch too long. If you could borrow one postseason format for another sport, what experiment would you run for exactly one season?
