Arsenal finally got over the line - who catches them in 2026/27?

After years of near misses, Arsenal are the defending Premier League champions and opened the 2026/27 season at the Emirates against newly promoted Coventry City. The league pushed the start back a week this year to give players a breather after the summer World Cup, and we have three fresh faces up from the Championship in Coventry, Ipswich and Hull, with Wolves, Burnley and West Ham dropping out. Question for the board: is this finally Arsenal's title to lose, or does one of the usual giants come roaring back? And which of the promoted sides do you actually see surviving the drop? Post your table predictions and let us argue about them come May.

Defending champs always have a target on their back. I would not be shocked to see the title race go down to the final day again. Depth wins this league over ten months, not a hot August start.

Give me the promoted underdog story any day. Somebody from that group always shocks a big club at home in the first month. That is the whole beauty of this league to me.
