Teams already start third-string linemen by November. Expansion turns a depth problem into a weekly feature.
There is enough quarterback development, coaching talent, and national appetite to support two more teams. Expansion would create new rivalries, bring football to overlooked markets, and reduce some scheduling imbalance. People say the talent pool would thin out, but practice squads contain players who can contribute and coaching determines whether depth looks playable. Give me a 34-team league and a cleaner rotation.
