(Giants' 13-year losing streak in Philadelphia and asks whether the psychological weight of that history could affect their approach against the Eagles on November 8.)

Thirteen years is a long time to keep losing in the same stadium. The Giants haven't won a regular-season road game against Philadelphia since October 27, 2013. Now they get another opportunity, and there's plenty of history hanging over this matchup.

The strange thing is how many different Giants teams have tried and failed. Players have come and gone, coaches have changed, and the Eagles have had their own ups and downs. Yet the result at Lincoln Financial Field keeps looking familiar.

John Harbaugh now gets his opportunity to change that story. His Giants enter the game with renewed confidence, while Philadelphia has struggled badly this season.

I'd be interested to see how New York responds if things go wrong early. A bad interception or an early Eagles touchdown shouldn't turn into a reason to abandon the game plan. Sometimes teams become so conscious of a losing streak that they start playing not to lose.

That's exactly what the Giants need to avoid. Forget the previous 13 defeats and play the game in front of them.

Do you think this long losing streak actually matters once the players take the field, or is it simply an interesting statistic that fans and journalists enjoy talking about?
