There are few better ways to answer questions about your ability than beating the Kansas City Chiefs. Bo Nix just did exactly that, and he deserves some credit.

Denver came away with a 28-24 victory, with Nix throwing two touchdown passes and avoiding an interception. That's the sort of performance Broncos supporters wanted to see, especially after the doubts raised about whether he's the right quarterback to build around.

But let's not get carried away after one Sunday.

I've seen plenty of quarterbacks have a big afternoon, collect praise from the media and then spend the following weeks reminding everyone why the questions were there in the first place.

Nix needs to show he can do this consistently. Can he handle a defense that takes away his first read? Can he make the difficult throws when the pocket starts collapsing? And can he deliver when Denver absolutely needs a scoring drive?

Those are the moments that separate a promising quarterback from someone you can trust with a massive long-term contract.

I like what Denver is building, and getting the quarterback decision wrong could set the franchise back years. The Broncos shouldn't rush into a commitment simply because Nix had a good game against a division rival.

Has the Kansas City victory changed your opinion of Bo Nix, or are you still waiting for more convincing evidence?

And if you were running the Broncos, how much more would you need to see before putting a huge contract on the table?
